Updated Furnace and Gardening Policies!

All unit owners must have their furnace inspected and documentation provided the site office no later than October 1 of EVERY calendar year.
The change to EVERY YEAR is necessary because inspections continue to find unsafe furnaces, and we cannot afford an explosion or deadly carbon monoxide leak. If inspections are not received on time, the Association will have the inspection done and will charge the owner for the inspection, a locksmith if needed, plus an administrative charge of $150.00.
If you have concerns about the process, please contact the site office!
The board also updated the rules on Gardening. The updated rules go into effect October 1, and will affect the next gardening season.
They will be sent to you soon. A few highlights:

  • Use pots or planter boxes on patios and balconies, not paint buckets, etc.
  • Plantings on common elements require prior approval or might be removed by the Association.
  • There is a form for requesting approval.
  • No fences, chicken wire, lava rocks, etc.

Keys

The Bylaws require that each owner supply the Association with a working set of keys for emergency access and to perform other necessary duties. The keys are not a lock-out service, however, if you have provided the office with a key, the on-site manager can give you access to your unit during office hours. If your front and rear doors are keyed differently, you may want to provide both keys to the office in case an emergency blocks one door.

Mailbox keys are solely the responsibility of the Unit Owner. Neither the Association nor the Postal Service has a key for your individual mailbox. If your key is lost, the safest recourse is to replace the mailbox lock using the services of a locksmith.
